Luscious Liz!
Liz has been working with us for over a year now, firmly establishing herself as the go to girl for gothic and dark designs. “My work is focused on blackwork and my own creations, taking inspiration from; the occult, natural history, gothic literature and folklore. Memento Mori is heavily present in ny work- the constant reminder that life is indeed very precious and short”.
Liz hails from Rio, Brazil and with a yearning for travelling arrived in the UK to “find a place I can feel at home and where my work may be more appreciated”. Liz’s first awareness of tattooing was when she came across a magazine featuring Kat Von D. “I come from an artistic family, art has always been a constant in my life. When I read the article on Kat Von D I realised that women could be tattoo artists too. After some persuading my parents eventually bought me a “tattoo kit” on my 16th birthday under the promise I would not tattoo myself until I was 18… I taught myself using fake skin and was too scared to tattoo people so thankfully I never gave any underage tattoos!”.
“When I turned 18 I found an apprenticeship in a tattoo studio in my home town, I never stopped tattooing from then on and it is the only job ever in my life. I love tattooing and I’m super grateful for how it has worked out for me so far”.
Liz, we are very lucky to have you work with us… your gothic creations are the yang to Noemis colourful yin. Most of all you are very professional, laid back and get the job done without any drama.
Liz, we salute you!
